The mining aspect is boring, and giving each world a thorough background doesn't make it more interesting, but rather pointless because reading it does not impact the story and you'll only spend the good 5min scanning it for stuff and then never touch it again. The lighting in ME1+2 are nuclear! The sad thing is the radioactive lighting actually helps unveil the itty-bitty details of the character model's facial texture (which is gorgeous), but when the lighting dies down and there's no reflective light, the face becomes flat and where the light doesn't hit becomes pitch black, making the face very ugly. At times the character models are beautiful as hell, and at times the same model is ugly as hell.Gameplay mechanic. It seems like Shephard is a heavy chainsmoker because he always need to stop for a breather after sprinting 20ft. Then there's the stiffness in combat. Finally, the irksome of them all: duck and cover. Attempting to sprint when next to a wall causes the character to hide, which is VERY bad when attempting to run away from enemies but end up ducking in front of them, causing the camera to change, and getting killed trying to leave the wall. There are many other issues regarding to the duck and cover system where you're hiding behind tall objects and moving to a shorter wall and vice versa: this actually leaves you wide open to attacks when hiding to recover shield is needed. There's a lot to be desired in the animation department. While ME2 has more, most of the time the characters just stand still when talking. Most animation you can get is during fighting, and they are limited to point+shoot and the same motion when using tech/bio/switching ammoThere's many more problems I have + the those the OP stated.

I have several other problems myself in regards to ME2. I wasnt very impressed with ME2, completely the opposite of how I felt about ME1 (despite its flaws).Too much seems to be have been centred around making this a Gears of War clone. The areas that dont involve shooting are so rare, small, and only serve to split the shooting areas apart, I couldnt get any joy out of the game. There are a lot of other niggling problems I have, and I wasnt at all impressed with the overall "story", which didnt seem to advance on ME1s ending at all, and in fact merely restated it.Unless they plan on shifting focus as much in ME3 as they did for ME2, I have a bad feeling about the final act of this series. I dont know how they can finish with a satisfying conclusion with some of the things they have done for ME2.

All 10 points are very worthy IMO, but I seem to be a lot less forgiving. I CAN'T decide )OMFG. This makes the game unplayable.Looks nice.
But the game is shit!
